woodland-heights-condo-townhome-exterior-victoria-bc If you dream of a brand new home but crave that feeling of living in a long-established neighbourhood, you’ll find the best of both worlds at Woodland Heights. By July of 2014, you can walk through a show suite on site and imagine your personalized vision of the ease of living here. With construction nearing completion for early summer, this mixed-style condominium project is open for business – and proud to be the first of several residential projects to reach completion in Victoria’s Uptown area. Once Uptown’s amenities had proven to be a significant draw for the area, Edmonton-based Synergy Projects, Ltd. recognized it was time to move forward with construction. “Uptown offers all kinds of outdoor festivities and events, and is drawing good-quality foot traffic,” says Matthew Lee, manager of PLATiNUM’s corporate projects division. With grocery, clothing and home retailers as well as services and dining so close at hand, Uptown truly offers one-stop convenience. woodland-heights-rooftop-deck-condo-townhome-victoria-bc Woodland Heights benefits from a super-central location, in close proximity to highway access in all directions and with downtown just a short drive away. The buyer profile includes empty-nesters (or soon-to-be empty-nesters), families, and those heading west from Edmonton and Calgary. Woodland Heights presents the first new development in Saanich catering to residents who are rightsizing after years of living in a single-family home. “Our condominium homes are larger than what you typically find in most new developments, with more space for entertaining, especially for guests or when the kids are home from university,” says Lee. “Our townhomes offer the right size and layout for those looking to transition from a single-family house, and the duplexes are virtually as large as single-family dwellings.” At Woodland Heights, bathrooms are notably roomier (15 to 20% larger) than you’ll find in other new builds. “It certainly provides a sense of livable space to buyers: they can entertain and live in these homes,” says Lee. Top-floor condominiums enjoy enormous windows that stretch upwards to twelve-foot ceilings, bathing the whole place in natural light. All homes enjoy spacious decks or patios, and there’s a community rooftop deck with views to downtown Victoria and the Olympic Mountains beyond. You’ll be hard pressed to find a prettier setting for a multi-family housing community than Woodland Heights. As the land was bound by covenant, the developer had to commit to maintaining the majority of the existing green space on the site. “There’s a tremendous amount of older growth forest and trees,” says Lee. “It gives it that soft, wooded-area feel.” Merrick Architecture worked carefully to design around these protected areas. woodland-heights-condo-townhome-sales-team That quality of construction has been paramount throughout the project’s development. “The developers could have done ‘less’ of many things,” says Director of Sales Ara Balabanian, noting such graceful touches as the wide baseboards, the soft rounding of the quartz countertop edges and the calibre of hardware and appliances. But the commitment to quality – and sustainability – sets Woodland Heights apart. Not only do buyers enjoy a Built Green® home, they also get a membership to the Victoria Car Share Co-op and a one-year Transit pass. Condominium homes range from around 670 to just under 1500 square feet (up to 2400 square feet for a heritage duplex). Townhomes are priced from $515,900 to $557,900 and range from 1547 to 2100 square feet. The Woodland Heights show suite opens in July. To celebrate the project’s early completion, the developer is offering a limited pre-completion incentive for the condos which includes buying down the mortgage for the first year. This means one-bedroom home ownership is accessible from $472/month, and two-bedroom home ownership from $635/month (on approved credit). Contact the Woodland Heights sales team for details.
